This story was absolutely adorable!! I loved the beautifully illustrated bug friends. It is an excellent book where some cute bug characters learn a wonderful lesson about friendship and how to treat someone kind even when they are not being kind to you.
I am always on the lookout for great children’s books to read to my kiddos. This was a great find and I recommend it to anyone who is on the search for a fun morally sound book to read to their child! I am hoping to see more from this author!!

I loved reading “The Garden Scouts: Buzzing With Love” by Rachael Hartzell and illustrated by Sarah-Leigh Wills. The words and artwork paired so beautifully. I found myself relating to both Rhino and Kiki, when reflecting on the choices I make throughout the day. As a girl scout leader, I reflected on the values I try to bring to my troop at each meeting. You so desperately want them to develop friendship and love for their scout sisters, but it doesn’t always come easy. It’s in the practice and in meeting challenges that they are tested — like Kiki and Rhino with the sparrow.
This book would be helpful for any group looking to make their friendships more meaningful. I will definitely be using the concepts in my own family and workplace.

Not only is the artwork colorful and vibrant, the story has beautiful meaning that is perfect for cultivating timeless truths in young hearts. The quality of this picture book is spot on and I highly recommend for all ages!

I loved this book and so did my five year old son. He loves bugs and he was really interested in learning about their scout life. He was able to give me a great synopsis of how to love and act after reading this just once. Although not specifically a religious book, it could go hand in hand with Sunday school lessons. The language was cute and understandable for a five year old. The illustrations pulled everything together really nicely. I would recommend this book to anyone with little kids.

Love this book. My 4 year old always needs a little more from books, and this book completely hits the mark! The story is interesting and engaging, my youngest just keeps yelling “BUG!” I love the subtle Christian aspect, as well as relating to patches. I can’t wait for the next book! Also the illustrations are AMAZING. Highly recommend to add to your family’s library!

In this sweet garden story, Kiki the fly selflessly risks her life to save Rhino from being eaten by a bird and the book presents this as an act of love. Parents can easily use this scene in the story to make parallels to Jesus’s selfless death on the cross, our ultimate example of love. The illustrations are fun, detailed, and colorful. Rhino’s annoyed expressions are also surprisingly funny and relatable.

This was such a super cute and fun read. The message of showing compassion, determination, and love was strong in this story. From Rhino’s own history of how he’s treated sticking with him, to Kiki’s show of support, it made for the perfect story about how easily you can change someone’s perception. I also loved how the lessons were set up with the scout meeting.
this was a fun read that is perfect to share with young kids—a solid lesson within the pages. The illustrations were beautifully done as well!

This book is so darling and wholesome. I love the way that the fruits of the Spirit are highlighted and I know that I would have been utterly obsessed with the Honor Crown Pins when I was a child. The illustrations are so beautiful and vibrant and you just want to keep looking. I am excited to see more from this series!
